Greenville Mississippi Bridal Fair

Greetings and Happy (belated) New Year from the Mississippi Delta! Pam and I are nestled
down in the warm and dry confines of our "executive suite" here at the Holiday Inn Express
in Greenville. Look close at the photo of the sign...see the ice sickles! It's cold up here tonight!

Tomorrow morning we'll hit the Convention Center and hopefully meet with future brides
from all over the Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas delta regions! We've been looking
forward to this for quite some time. We may even post a few images live from the show
tomorrow.

Also, a special thanks to photographer John Keen and his lovely wife Sam for their warm
welcome tonight as we were unpacking our gear. Together they operate a photography
studio up here in Greenville producing some really beautiful work. Have a look at their
website here!

Cheers!

Tim & Pam

UPDATE - Saturday, 1/26/2008

As a girl named Dorothy once said, "There's no place like home", we were really glad
to make it back to Vicksburg this evening. Highway 61 was dry and free of ice the whole
way.

We came away from this our first bridal show with info overload. Every photography
company there was open and sharing with information and insights about all aspects
of their businesses. We couldn't have asked for a nicer bunch of folks to hang out
with! Thank you John Keen Photography, Roy Meeks Photography and Ralphs Photography!

We were also fortunate enough to have our booth right next to Debbie Cosey's setup
for the luxurious Natchez, MS based Monmouth Plantation. For an overview of this
beautiful 30 room home built in 1818, visit their website and blog for more info!

Some shots of the Steen-Tompkins booth!

Yes, that's a real fire! No it wasn't planned! The gentlemen in the photo
quickly got things under control.

A few shots of some cakes and table details. (Canon 85mm prime)

Move over Tom Petersson and Bun E. Carlos, this is the rhythm section of
the All-Star Band! They perform live music for wedding receptions and
rehearsal dinners and the like. It just don't get any better than a live
band. For booking info, call: 662.378.7979
