Taylor & John David
We were undecided on whether or not we could beat the thunderstorm approaching from the west on this very warm evening in July.
I had an upcoming wedding to shoot on Saturday and Taylor would be busy all week working with a group of dancers performing in this year's Miss Mississippi Pageant, so we decided to take the chance.
The light was all over the place and the humidity was high but we did skirt around the storm and managed not to melt.
On the way back from the waterfront we stopped for a quick shot in front of The H. C. Porter Gallery on Washington Street. This building was where John David's grandparents owned and ran Koury's Children Shop for over fifty years. John David spent many afternoons in the back of their store doing homework and watching "Schoolhouse Rock".
